Meet The Team
Michael and Tommy Loveless are the co-founders of Quakie Ridge Outdoors, two brothers born and raised in the mountains of Northern Utah with a lifelong passion for hunting, shooting, and backcountry adventure. What began as a shared love for the outdoors has grown into a mission to equip and educate the next generation of hunters.

I grew up in Utah and have always enjoyed hunting and being in the outdoors. I grew up hunting mule deer along the Wasatch Front and spent most days in school day dreaming of shooting a 4 point mule deer. I grew up hunting archery, muzzleloader, and rifle. But have always been drawn to guns and love guns of all types. I remember vividly reloading my .300 WSM as a 14 year old and looking at the reloading book at all the ballistic tables making sense of how the load I selected would perform. My Dad and I got into "long" range shooting over a decade ago and I enjoyed getting into the ballistic apps and validating our long range predictions. In my professional life I am an aerospace engineer and love to apply that skill set to shooting. This passion for shooting and equipment led me and my brother to opening Quakie Ridge Outdoors. Helping people who are starting in the sport and providing equipment for enthusiasts!
Favorite Animal to Hunt: Mule Deer
Favorite Gun (that I own): This very tough but I would have to choose my Gunwerks Clymr 6.5 PRC, it is a lightweight awesome hunting gun
Favorite Hunt: Extended archery season mule deer, I was able to harvest a mature 167" buck
Dream Hunt: Stone Sheep
Pick on Caliber to Rule them All: If I had to pick one I would go with a 7 PRC or 7 SAUM or something like that. Ironically I don't own any 7 mm calibers.

I grew up in Northern Utah, right at the base of the mountains. From an early age, the outdoors became a part of who I am, whether it was hiking, trail running, or chasing game through the backcountry with my dad and brothers. From upland birds to big game, it was always about the thrill of the pursuit and the time spent in nature. For me, the mountains aren’t just a place, they’re home.
Back then, we didn’t have high-tech gear or fancy scopes. We’d pore over ballistic charts in old books, trying to understand bullet drop at 400 yards versus 100. We didn’t have tactical turrets or a deep understanding of ballistics, but we were eager to learn. Over the years, through countless hunts, hours of research, and conversations with seasoned experts, we’ve gained a wealth of knowledge about firearms, reloading, gear, and backcountry readiness.
We started this company because we saw a real gap in knowledge for those new to the hunting world. Twenty years ago, we were in the same spot, excited but unsure. Our mission is to equip the next generation of hunters and outdoor adventurers with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to succeed. Whether it’s your first backcountry trip or a high-altitude hunt, we’re here to help you gear up and make it unforgettable.
Favorite Animal to Hunt: Elk
Favorite Gun (that I own): Thanks to my younger brother, I have a decent selection of guns. I would pick my 7 PRC Nexus Gunwerks. It is amazing to shoot.
